“We won’t always have the answers in the moment, but we should always reflect on those moments to find the answer.”

John Saba believes the answer is not to try and change the individual. Instead, he strives to change the world around an individual to create meaningful and lasting growth.

John’s journey as an ABA professional has been influenced by those he’s had the opportunity to serve along his way. He often reflects on a very difficult client who had the biggest impact on his own professional growth. After finishing very challenging sessions sweaty and exhausted, John had two options: give up and ask to be removed from the case or keep grinding.

John chose the latter, and over a 5-year period, this client was John’s greatest teacher and helped elevate his skills as a clinician. When it was time for John to transition off the team serving this client, the family told him that no one had ever worked with their son the way he did. That one statement made it all worth it.

When John is not using the principles of ABA to help people, he’s using them at the poker table.

“Days are filled with the possibility of changing someone’s life for the better. Be patient, thoughtful, and search for those opportunities.”

Every day, Peter Aguirre strives to make people’s lives better. He has 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities, and implements Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies in both home and school settings. Michael is honored to help families and learners overcome barriers and achieve goals that change lives for the better. He shares, “During one of my first assignments I was working with a family that was new to ABA services. The child was not speaking and had limited skills, and we worked on requests and play skills. I was there the day the child made his first request. Seeing the family’s and the child’s reaction was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had.”

Peter attended California State University, Northridge, and earned his master’s degree with emphasis in ABA. In December 2016, Peter received his Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA).

Peter enjoys mountain biking, surfing, hiking and camping. He searches for every opportunity to include his family in these activities.
