“Every person has a story to share.Take the time to listen because every person has something new they can teach you.”

Miguel Aguilar is a good listener, and he has seen firsthand how parents and families grow and develop as a result of his work with them. He finds it very rewarding to witness people progressing throughout his time with them. Miguel wants to continue helping families and working alongside staff to provide the best care he can for each of them.

After graduating from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2014, Miguel became a direct support professional for Behavior Respite in Action (BRIA). He was promoted to the position of BRIA program coordinator in 2016. In January 2019 he was again promoted to into his current position of BRIA department manager for the Chatsworth location. Currently Miguel is pursuing his Master of Special Education – with an emphasis inapplied behavioral analysis – through Arizona State University.

Miguel loves living one day at a time and living in the moment . . . taking time to go on hikes and enjoy nature. He likes exploring different parts of the world. Miguel also likes to make time for art through painting, making music, or journaling.
