Diagnosing & Accessing Autism Care

In 2025, the CDC reported that approximately 1 in 19 children in California are impacted by Autism. This number reflects only children who have received an autism diagnosis, which means the true need for support may be even greater. As the number of children impacted by autism continues to grow, access to early intervention and quality autism care is more important than ever.

Symptoms of autism may start appearing in the early years of a child’s life, you can read more about the common signs of autism here.

The Process of Autism Behavioral Health Treatment

If you are concerned your child is falling behind, 360 Behavioral Health wants to meet with you as soon as possible. Early diagnosis and intervention are critical in establishing a better future for every child with autism, and it all starts with:

  1. Autism Evaluation: Your child’s pediatrician can provide you with valuable information about autism and may complete an evaluation or refer you to a physician who specializes in diagnosing autism. In some cases, your child’s pediatrician may directly refer to an ABA services provider.
  2. Consultation / Intake: Once you contact our team at 360 Behavioral Health, a dedicated Care Navigation partner will help you through the intake and authorization process with your child’s health plan.
  3. Assessment: A 360 Behavioral Health clinician will work with you and your family to learn about your child, including their strengths, interests, and the developmental areas that are most important to you. Using the results of this assessment, the clinician will develop personalized recommendations, including the appropriate amount of care and individualized treatment goals.
  4. Monitor & Adjustment: Our team at 360 Behavioral Health will provide ongoing support throughout your child’s treatment journey by:
    1. Monitoring progress regularly and adjusting the treatment plan based on your child’s progress
    2. Assisting with reauthorization to ensure your child’s care is uninterrupted
    3. Offering resources and guidance to help you and your family feel supported every step of the way
